Big Yellow Norton Flaw

A computer worm is attacking some business PCs through a flaw in antivirus software by Symantec Corp., a security company warned Friday.

EEye Digital Security, based in Aliso Viejo, said the worm, dubbed “Big Yellow,” began attacking some computer systems on Thursday — seven months after eEye first discovered the flaw.

I wonder who they asked for this wondrous example of investigative journalism. Did they ask the mob or did they ask the hackers? If they did then that means they had to identify them and if they did identify them then why didn’t they turn them in? Some security research…

I don’t see them “joining” forces. I could see one or the other hiring the other to augment their income.

Well the news these days isn’t a great deal as people wrap up for the holidays, finish their budget checks one more time, and generally drink too much egg nog. One of the best parts about this time of year is that it is when the pundits spring forth with beautiful top ten lists.

These lists are the best of, the worst of, and predictions for the year(s) ahead. This, this isn’t one of them. It only has 9! I feel cheated.
