Microsoft Gone Crazy?
I’m going to leave the actual text from the page for this address below. But, first, quotes:
Over the weekend, Mario Lopez was spotted hanging out with some characters who really know how to party. And everybody knows piñatas love a good bash! At the festive event of the season, Lopez joined the characters from the “Viva Piñata” animated series from 4Kids TV — Hudson Horstachio, Fergy Fudgehog and Paulie Pretztail — along with thousands of kids and their families at the world’s biggest piñata party for the launch of “Viva Pinata™,” the new video game for play exclusively on the Xbox 360™ game and entertainment system. In celebration of the worldwide rollout of “Viva Piñata,” crowds took a break from holiday shopping to convene on the famous Santa Monica Pier to ring in this colorful title that is breaking new ground in family entertainment.
(I kid you not, this is the real title of the page…)
I don’t want you to get me wrong here, I think it is wonderful that Microsoft branched out into the XBox, which is finally expected to make a profit which will be nice, and I appreciate that they’re doing things that involve children and the likes but, I have a hard time imagining (and yes, they’re different departments) stalwart geeks - even the hip ones - out dancing in the street with giant puppets.
Ah I wish they’d invited me - really I’m just jealous.
Really though, I can’t picture Bill and crew out there dancing in the streets. (Well, okay, I can picture Ballmer doing it, he’s nutty like that. It’s a good nutty though.) The very idea makes my brain tingle in ways it surely wasn’t meant to.
*chuckles at image of Bill Gates doing the robot with Mario Lopez and giant puppets*
Something more IT-esque later but this needed posting.
